Industry Engagement Collaborators
By establishing ongoing relationships with industry and other private sector partners, our Center will be better poised to generate fundamental scientific discoveries that will lead to the commercial production of fuels from cellulosic biomass. The following collaborators are essential to the success of the GLBRC Industry Engagement program.
MBI partners with both universities and end-user companies to bridge the gap between early innovations and commercial applications. The Michigan State University (MSU) BioEconomy Network is charged with coordinating MSU's efforts to promote Michigan's bioeconomy. Those growing efforts include research, policy and economic analysis, education, corporate and government collaborations, and commercialization.
The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) serves the University of Wisconsin-Madison scientific community by patenting the discoveries of UW-Madison researchers and licensing these technologies to leading companies in Wisconsin, the United States and worldwide. In this way, WARF also facilitates the use of UW-Madison research for the maximum benefit of society.
The Wisconsin Bioenergy Initiative (WBI) seeks to cultivate bioenergy expertise among UW-Madison, UW-System and Wisconsin stakeholders to anchor the innovative research that is being conducted within the state. WBI is a university-based coalition that helps the talent across Wisconsin create, commercialize and promote bio-based solutions.
